The Flora Hamilton Roberts Community Fund Corporation, a 501 (c) (3) philanthropic organization, was founded on June 21, 2000.
The purpose of the Corporation is to conduct as a charitable organization, engaging in lifelong learning activities that address community educational needs in the areas of health, education, economics, the family, arts and the community.
The Corporation was named in honor of Theta Nu Omega Charter Member Flora "Flo" Hamilton-Roberts. Hamilton-Roberts, who served as the chapter's president from 1974-1977 was well known for her enthusiasm for Service to All Mankind as an active leader and member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, her dedication to educating youth through her role as a secondary school educator and a librarian in the Lee County School District, as well as her devotion to worshiping her Lord and Savior at the historic Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Fort Myers, FL.
